The Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) Externship is the foundational training for therapists seeking to develop competence in attachment-based couples work. This four-day in-person Externship brings EFCT to India through the India EFT Council, an ICEEFT-affiliated community committed to advancing high-quality EFT training and supervision.

Scheduled from 14–17 February in Bangalore, this Externship offers an immersive introduction to the EFCT model, combining theory, live clinical demonstrations, video review, and guided discussion.

  • Understand the theory of adult attachment and its relevance to couple distress
  • Learn the three stages and nine steps of EFCT
  • Identify and track negative interactional cycles
